MyNextBrowser ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. We operate the MyNextBrowser agentic browser extension and the website MyNextBrowser.com.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard your information. We have designed our system with a "Local-First" and "Data Minimization" philosophy, ensuring that your data remains under your control whenever possible.

MyNextBrowser is an AI-powered "agentic" browser extension that helps you automate tasks and interact with the web intelligently. We respect your right to privacy and pledge to be transparent about the data we collect and how it is used.

2. Information We Collect

We categorize data collection into two types: Account Information (managed by us) and Agentic Data (processed largely on your device or ephemerally).

A. Account & Billing Information

When you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect:

  • Identity Data: Email address, password (hashed and salted), and profile icon (if authenticated via Google).
  • Billing Data: Billing address.Note: We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment details. All transactions are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, DodoPayments.

B. Agentic Interaction Data

To perform the tasks you request (e.g., "Summarize this page" or "Find information"), the extension processes:

  • Page Content: The text and layout (converted to Markdown) of the active tab where you invoke the extension.
  • Visual Data: Screenshots of the active tab, used strictly for computer vision tasks requested by you.
  • Navigation Data: The specific URL of the active tab.

C. What We DO NOT Collect

To be clear about our boundaries:

  • No Third-Party Cookies: We do not collect, store, or track cookies from the websites you visit.
  • No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history across the web. We only process the specific tab you actively choose to engage with.
  • No Analytics in Extension: We do not run behavior analytics scripts inside the extension environment.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the functionality of the MyNextBrowser service.

A. AI Processing & "No-Training" Guarantee

We use Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI) to power our intelligence.

  • Processing: Your prompts and page content are sent to Vertex AI to generate answers.
  • Zero Training Policy: We strictly do not use your data (including prompts, page content, or logs) to train our AI models or the models of our providers. Your data remains yours.

B. Service Operations

  • To authenticate your identity.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent activity.

4. Data Storage and Retention

We adhere to strict data minimization principles.

A. Server-Side Retention (Ephemeral)

  • Website Snapshots: The content and screenshots of web pages you visit are processed temporarily and are permanently auto-deleted after 24 hours.
  • Tool Logs: Operational logs (records of actions taken by the agent) are retained for 15 days to allow for context in follow-up questions. After 15 days, they are permanently deleted.

B. Local Storage (Client-Side)

  • Chat History: Your conversations with the agent are stored locally on your device using IndexedDB and Chrome Local Storage. We do not store a copy of your chat history on our servers.
  • Generated Content: Any text or code generated by features like "AI Prompt Enhancer" or "Text Enhancer" remains locally on your browser.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted infrastructure providers necessary to operate our service:

  • Purpose: LLM Provider for AI processing.

2. DodoPayments

  • Purpose: Payment processing and billing.
  • Jurisdiction: Global.

3. Google Analytics

  • Purpose: Site traffic analysis (used on our Landing Page and website only, not within the extension).
  • Jurisdiction: Global.

6. International Data Transfers

MyNextBrowser operates globally. Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ.

Specifically, our AI processing is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, which may utilize servers in the United States. By using our Services, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer. We ensure that all transfers comply with appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & Global)

We believe all users deserve the same high standard of privacy.

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You may request that we permanently delete your account and server-side data.Local Data: You can delete your chat history instantly by clearing your browser extension data or uninstalling the extension.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for optional features at any time.

9. Google API Services & Gmail Data (Limited Use)

If you choose to use our optional Gmail Connector:

  1. We access your emails solely in a read-only capacity to answer questions you specifically ask (e.g., "Summarize my last email").
  2. The access token is stored locally on your device; we do not store it on our servers.
  3. Limited Use: Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for users under the age of 13.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • If we identify that we have collected data from a minor without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to permanently delete that information.
